China Confirms Human Case of Bird Flu.
China’s first human case of bird flu is now confirmed when a sick 9 year-old boy tested positive for the virus earlier today. His sister has already died, but it was not positive if bird flu was the cause of her death because not enough blood was taken before her death.
A third person, a 36 year-old teacher, is also suspected of having the virus. All three had close contact with infected chickens in the Hunan province. |
