News: Thailand |
Suspected Case of Bird Flu.
A 30 year-old man is suspected to have contracted bird flu (H5N1) and is currently under close observation at a hospital in Thailand's eastern province of Rayong.
Thailand is calling on APEC to join hands in the fight against bird flu by creating a stock-pile of antiviral drugs to help in the treatment and containment of the virus. The world continues to hold its collective breath hoping that human to human spread of the virus does not mature. |
